Karan Kundra (earlier known as Karan Kundra) is an Indian film and television actor best known for playing the role of Arjun Punj in Ekta Kapoor's Kitani Mohabbat Hai that aired on NDTV Imagine. He is also known for hosting three seasons of Kapoor's crime show Gumrah: End of Innocence on Channel V. He was also a 'Gang Leader' in MTV Roadies X2 and X4. He was replaced by Nikhil Chinapa in Roadies Rising as he had to quit it due to movie commitments. He played a significant role as NRI Manpreet Sandhu in director Anees Bazmee's comic movie Mubarakan and was last seen as Rithwik Noon in Kapoor's drama seriesDil Hi Toh Hai that aired On Sony TV and online OTT platform ALT Balaji.[1]

Career[edit]

Karan made his acting debut with the lead role of Arjun Punj in Kitani Mohabbat Hai (NDTV Imagine) in 2008. In late 2009, he went on to play the lead character of Veeru in Bayttaab Dil Kee Tamanna Hai (Sony TV). After appearing in a cameo role as a ghost Prince in Aahat ( Sony TV), he went on to participating in a dance reality show, Zara Nachke Dikha on Star Plus in May 2010.

Karan played the lead role of Arjun Singhania in the sequel of his debut show Kitani Mohabbat Hai Season 2 (Imagine TV). The show was back on public demand.[2]He was then seen as a host in Gumrah – End Of Innocence (Channel V,Star Plus) followed by Gumrah – End Of Innocence season 2 (Channel V).[3] He played the role of Karan Kapoor in Teri Meri Love Stories (Star Plus). Karan was next seen in V The Serial (Channel V) in 2012. He hosted Gumrah from 2012 to 2014.

Gumrah: End of Innocence is an Indian crime television series that started airing from March 2012 on Channel V India. The show presents crime related incidents committed by young people. The series is produced by Ekta Kapoor[2] under her banner Balaji Telefilms Crash crash boom.

Serial

The show went on air on Channel V India on 11 March 2012 airing weekly with rebroadcasts on Channel V India, Star Plus. The second season, it began broadcasting daily.[3] Season 3 started airing from 7 July 2013. The opening episode was co-anchored by Chitrangada Singh and Karan Kundra. Season 4 was hosted by Abhay Deol who was replaced by Karanvir Bohra.[1] Season 5 started on 22 March 2015.

Plot[edit]

The show explores and suggests the right measures to avert crimes, narrating real-life stories revolving around harassment, kidnapping, murders and all sorts of crime made by teenagers.
